Terms of Use

Version 1.1 · Effective 7 October 2026 · Last updated 7 October 2026

These terms (the “Agreement”) are between you and DQCLabs (“we”, “us”), the publisher of the OrganKey app for iOS, iPadOS and Android and of the website organkeyboard.web.app — together, “the app”. By downloading or using the app you accept this Agreement. If you do not accept it, please do not use the app.

The short version. OrganKey is free to download and play. The free version shows ads, never while you are playing. Some voices and styles, unlimited custom presets and an ad-free app are part of OrganKey Lifetime Pro, an optional one-time purchase (no subscription, no recurring payment) through the App Store or Google Play. Your settings and presets stay on your device. What you play is yours; you may not resell the app or extract its sounds or styles as a sample pack or style library. Please look after your ears.

1. Who may use OrganKey

You must be at least 13 years old to agree to this Agreement on your own behalf. If you are under 13 — or under 16 in the EEA and the UK — a parent or guardian must agree to it for you and is responsible for your use of the app.

The app has no chat, no user-generated content shared with others and no accounts. It is not directed at children: the free version shows advertising served by Google AdMob (see section 10), and purchases require a store account. A parent who lets a child use the app is responsible for that use and for any purchase made with their account.

2. The licence we grant you

We grant you a personal, worldwide, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use OrganKey on devices you own or control, subject to this Agreement and to the rules of the store you obtained it from. We keep every right not expressly granted. This is a licence to use the app, not a sale of it.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

4. Music you make with it

What you play is yours. We claim no rights in the performances, recordings or videos you make using OrganKey — including performances that use the arranger’s accompaniment — and you do not owe us a fee, a credit or a licence for them. You may record the app’s output and publish it, commercially or otherwise. A credit is welcome and never required.

What you may not do is redistribute the app’s sounds or styles as such: a recording of you performing is yours, while a pack of isolated notes, loops or style patterns lifted from the app is not something this licence permits.

You remain responsible for the rights in any song you choose to play and publish. Being able to play a song in the app does not grant you a licence to record and release someone else’s composition.

5. The sounds and styles we bundle

The tonewheel, combo and electronic organ voices are generated by the app’s own synthesis engine. The pipe organ samples come from the Versilian Community Sample Library pipe organ (recorded by Simon Dalzell / Ivy Audio), released under CC0 1.0 Universal (public domain dedication); its licence text ships inside the app on the licences screen. Nothing in this Agreement restricts what you may do with those samples if you obtain them from their original source.

The accompaniment styles and voice presets are original works, © 2026 DQCLabs. Style names describe a musical genre and do not imply any connection with another product, artist or manufacturer.

If you believe something in the app is not ours to distribute, tell us at the address in section 21 and we will investigate and, if needed, remove it.

6. Our intellectual property

The app’s name, logo, artwork, interface design, sound engine, presets, styles and code are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. This Agreement gives you no right to use our name or branding except to refer to the app accurately. Other product names that may be mentioned in connection with the app belong to their respective owners.

7. Your device and your data

OrganKey has no accounts. Your settings, custom presets, favourites and MIDI mappings are stored on your device and nowhere else. We have no copy and no ability to recover them. If you uninstall the app, reset your device, clear the app’s storage or lose the device, that data is gone. Nothing syncs between your devices.

The one exception is your purchase: it belongs to your App Store or Google Play account and can be restored on a new device (see section 11). A rewarded-ad trial is not a purchase and is not restored.

How the app handles data — including opt-in diagnostics, advertising and purchase information — is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of this Agreement.

8. MIDI devices and audio hardware

OrganKey can be played from USB and Bluetooth MIDI keyboards, controllers and pedals. We do not make, sell or support third-party hardware, and we do not guarantee that any particular device, adapter or operating-system version will work with the app. Connect and use hardware according to its manufacturer’s instructions.

Audio latency depends on your device, its operating system, the buffer size you choose and any Bluetooth audio accessory you use, and is partly outside our control.

9. Safe listening and sensible use

Please protect your hearing. An organ can sustain notes indefinitely and the arranger can play loudly. Listening at a high volume, particularly through headphones and for a long time, can cause permanent hearing damage. Set a comfortable volume before you put headphones on, and take breaks.

Do not use the app while driving, cycling or doing anything else that needs your attention, and be aware that headphones make you less aware of what is around you.

10. The free version and advertising

OrganKey is free to download. The free version includes the instrument, the organ editor, the mixer, MIDI support, a selection of voices and styles, and up to three saved custom presets, and it is paid for by advertising.

11. OrganKey Lifetime Pro purchase

Lifetime Pro is an optional one-time, non-consumable purchase on both the Apple App Store and Google Play. It unlocks the included Pro features shown in the app, including Premium content, unlimited saved presets and ad-free use. We offer only Lifetime Pro for new purchases, not monthly or yearly subscriptions.

12. Availability, updates and changes

We may add, change or remove features, voices or styles, and may move content between the free version and Premium; require you to install an update to keep using the app; or stop distributing and supporting it. We will not remove the core of what Premium offers — Premium content and an ad-free app — from a valid Lifetime Pro purchase or, if applicable, a subscription period you have already paid for.

The instrument works offline. Ads, purchases and Restore Purchases need an internet connection, as do renewals of any older subscription.

We may change this Agreement. If a change is material we will bring it to your attention in the app or on this site before it takes effect, and continuing to use the app after that date means you accept it.

13. Third-party services

The app relies on the following services, each governed by its provider’s own terms and privacy policy:

If a third-party service is unavailable, the parts of the app that depend on it — ads, purchases, restores — may not work for that time.

14. Complaints, suspension and termination

If you believe something in the app infringes your rights, email us at the address in section 21 with enough detail to identify the material and your claim. We will remove infringing content promptly once verified.

You may end this Agreement at any time by uninstalling the app. We may end it, and your licence with it, if you materially breach it — for example by tampering with the app to unlock Premium or by committing ad fraud. Uninstalling does not erase your Lifetime Pro purchase from your store account; you can restore a valid purchase as described in section 11. If you have an older subscription, uninstalling does not cancel it. Sections that by their nature should survive termination do.

15. Disclaimer

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every device, operating-system version or MIDI device, or suitable for live performance. Nothing here excludes a warranty or right that cannot be excluded under the law that applies to you as a consumer.

16. Limitation of liability and indemnity

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue, goodwill or opportunity, arising out of or connected with your use of the app. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid for OrganKey Premium in the twelve months before the claim and (b) USD 50.

Nothing in this Agreement limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

You agree to indemnify us against claims, damages, losses and reasonable costs arising from your breach of this Agreement, your misuse of the app, or your infringement of someone else’s rights — including in music you record with the app and publish.

17. Governing law and disputes

This Agreement is governed by the laws of Viet Nam, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of Viet Nam have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer whose local law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your own courts and under your own consumer law, this section does not take that right away. Please email us before starting anything formal.

18. Apple App Store terms

Where you obtained the app from the Apple App Store, the following applies and prevails over anything inconsistent above:

19. Google Play terms

Where you obtained the app from Google Play, this Agreement is between you and us only. Google is not a party to it and is not responsible for OrganKey. The Google Play Terms of Service apply to your download and to any purchase made there, and Google’s refund policy governs any refund.
